Anna and Abby

Anna and Abby were the sweetest little girls.  Sadly, they were taken from their momma a bit too young.  The people who brought them to the shelter, Insisted they were more than six weeks old.  Their mannerisms, alone were enough to tell us that they were younger than we had been told. Their little teeth barely coming through the gums, and their cloudy little eyes told us they were at least a week or two younger than the people said.

Anna and Abby were a joy to have here with us for their stay.  They were with us for about 4 weeks.  We had a lot of fun playing with them, and they were very well socialized, and great with kids by the time they were old enough to be placed in homes.

After their stay with us, at about 9 weeks, Anna and Abby were spayed and placed into their new homes.  Little Abby had some complications with  her spay, when her heart stopped beating during the procedure.  Fortunately, her little heart was full of the will to live, and she was revived and came out of it just fine.  I was a different story to say the least, and I broke into tears when they told me how we nearly lost her.

I just know that the girls have made the families they live with now, Love them just as much as they made us love them while they were here. These two girls, Labrador, Rottweiler mix puppies, were really something very special.  We wish them a long and healthy life!

We were such buddies..we loved to roll and play together.

The Kids and the Cross's house loved playing with us.

We loved to be held and cuddled.

Here is little Abby taking a nap in her usual position.

We always got a chuckle out of watching her sleep.

Not only did she most often sleep on her back, But

she also made the cutest little baby sounds while she slept.

And here is Anna, taking an afternoon snooze.

Her side sleeping position was not so unusual but,

if you look very closely, her tongue is sticking out.

When she slept, she always slept so sound her little

tongue would hand out of her mouth.
