Lil Miss Princess

Princess was an absolute Joy to have around.  Obviously she is a Chihuahua.  And not your typical Chihuahua either.  She wasn't really a one person dog as they say most Chi's are.  She loved everyone in the family and made herself right at home.

Princess loved to sleep on my bed, but I had to be so very careful with her.  She wanted to be with me every second, so if I left the room, I had to make sure to close my bedroom door, or she would try to follow me.  It wasn't safe for her to jump up and down off furniture, because as a result of poor breeding, Princess had very badly malformed back legs.  Any jumping created a very real risk of serious injury.  But try to convince her that she was not a perfectly healthy girl...Ha!

Princess was a senior dog, surrendered by her senior owner who needed to be in an assisted living environment.  Unfortunately, the facility he choose failed to inform him in advance of signing his contract, that he couldn't bring his beloved dog with him. When I spoke with him to give him an update on how she was handling things, the poor man sobbed on the other end of the phone.  He was broken hearted at having to part with her. Princess bunked here with us until a suitable family, minus small children could be found.  Princess Loved kids, but we decided it was just not safe for her to be in a home with small children.  She found a Great home! with and older couple.
